Time to Measure Sails

The rain has finally let up here in Southern California, and a dry backyard means that we can start measuring the hundreds of sails that have been piling up over the past few months. We’ve already tagged and measured about 50 headsails, and we’ve got at least another 50 or so to go. Lots of great Dacron sails with plenty of life left in them, and a few almost new “pinstripe” Kevlar woven racing genoas. After the jibs it’s onto the mains and spinnakers where we’re sure to come across some good asymmetricals. The list won’t be online right away, but feel free to call the store to get an early shot at the new batch.

In addition to all of the sails, we’ve been working hard to get new gear and hardware onto the shelves. Right now we’ve got two beautiful pairs of new and almost new pressurized pedestals, some great winches (two speed, self tailing), and some of the best rubber boats and outboard motors we’ve ever had in the store. Spring is just around the corner, so don’t wait too long or these hot items will disappear.

PS: Minney’s now has free wi-fi access at the store for all of you hi-tech cruisers with laptops and iPhones so come on in and cruise the web while you’re in town.
