A TOUGH LITTLE WINDLASS !!!

Hey guys!! I've practically had every windlass ever built on the 25 or so boats I've owned and sailed over the past 60 years.  I'm into my 3rd year using this little "Tigress" 12 volt windlass and have had great service out of it.  Next to your engine and rig, a good electric windlass is one of the most important pieces of equipment aboard your boat. Hope you enjoy my little commercial.  Anyone know a good Hollywood agent? More fun videos on my U-tube channel.  Search Ernie Minney Videos and get some good laughs!!!

WALKER-TAFFRAIL LOGS........

To the skipper looking for a taffrail log.  Here's a couple of photos of what we have at the moment.  The top pictures show a good selection of the world famous "Walker" taffrail logs.  A good used one will sell for about $195.00 and one in almost new condition will be closer to $295.00.  If there are any collectors out there, you might consider one of the large gray Liberty or Victory ship logs left over from WWII.  We have only the solid brass heads and a few of the fly-wheels.  They polish up nice and convert into nice lamps or book ends.  If you are still cruising in a Liberty ship we can probably come up with a "fish" to match the log for an additional $100.00.  Keep an eye out for "U" boats ???

LOTS OF BOATERS ALSO SKI !!!

Balboa Ski & Sports Club hooks up with the Far West Ski Association for a great week of skiing, racing and lots of great parties.  The conditions in Snowmass, Colorado were near perfect.  Six inches of fresh powder this morning was certainly the "icing on the cake."

MINNEY-Pictures........

We will let the pictures do the talking.  We're pretty sure we have the best selection of good used boat gear and equipment in the west?  Tip of the day: I have a little house in Baja.  The painter's putty that keeps the glass in the windows keeps drying out in the 115 degree summer heat.  I have replaced all the painter's putty with 3M 5200 bedding compound.  Use masking tape to outline where you want the 3M to go-gun it in, take your finger and run it around the joint where the glass meets the wood-pull off the masking tape (don't let the 3M dry on the tape) and you'll never have a problem with that window again. 5200 also makes good pipe joint compound.  Goes on easy, seals perfectly and if need be will allow you to break open the joints at a later time. Don't use 5200 on pipe joints that will get very hot.

LEWMAR-Chrome plated bronze alloy, 2-speed-self tailing sheet winches !!!

The 46's are almost gone?  We still have quite a few 40's and 30's.  Do your homework, check on line and at your local boating stores.  I'm still going to hold the line and keep the prices same as December with the shipping our treat in the lower 48 states only, through the end of February.  So you don't have to go through some of my earlier posts,  I'll once again print the prices.  The 46's are $995.00 each-The 40's are $695.00 each and the 30's are $495.00 each.  We have a limited supply of matching lock-in handles at $59.95 each.  These prices good for only the stock on hand and I seriously doubt they can ever be duplicated? These are brand new Lewmar, chrome plated, bronze alloy, 2-speed, self-tailing winches.  For specs. google Lewmar, West Marine and other on-line marine dealers.  P.S.  Thanks to all of you that showed up for my brother's "Sail-ebration" of his life memorial yesterday.  It was pretty impressive, we gave him a good send off and videos of Owen in action aboard numerous different boats will live FOREVER!
