WE'RE BACK!

Made it around the horn in one piece, and now I'm back to work.

Since I've been gone, we've got thousands of pounds of finished teak, hundreds of spools of anchor line, everything but the kitchen sink from Cabo Yachts (refrigeration, shafts, couplers, chocks, fiberglass tubing, hydraulics...) and about $60,000 worth of stainless steel cleats. Spring has sprung and the deals are here.

Teak Tables

These great little folding cockpit tables sell for $350 at the "other" boat store, but you can come in and pick one up at Minney's for only $89. Available in round, hexagonal, or square shapes.

McNish Classic Yacht Race

I was lucky enough to get back on Rose of Sharon this weekend for the McNish Classic up in Oxnard. Pretty light winds at the start but it picked up as the afternoon wore on and we were leading the pack until Dennis Connors caught up on his boat Brushfire with the help of his massive 180% 3DL genoa (not purchased from Minneys). It was a great race and we took first place schooner... not bad for having 22 people onboard.

Varnishing Weather

The rain has let up finally and the sun is out which means its time to break out the brush and tack cloth and get your boats in Opening Day shape. We've recently lowered our prices on varnish and thinner, and we've got everything else you need to get your topsides ready for summer.

PS: We sell our sandpaper at cost.

Spring Is Coming

Despite the gusty winds the past few days it's starting to warm up around here, and almost time to head over to Catalina. Don't waste your money on the water taxi this year, come into Minney's and pick up a good inflatable or rowing dinghy on the cheap. Avons, Achilles, Zodiacs and more just waiting for a good home.

Jibs Galore!

We just tagged and measured nearly 200 headsails of all shapes and sizes, and the new list is online now. We came across quite a few storm jibs in great shape along with some pretty good drifters.
