Lots Of Fun In Local Waters !!!

Here's a fun little video of my short visit to Santa Barbara Harbor, Santa Cruz Island-Santa Barbara Island and Catalina Island. You don't have to sail off to Tahiti to have fun and enjoy your boat.  We had one night at Cabrillo Marina, one night at Paradise Cove, two nights in Ventura, three nights in Santa Barbara Harbor and short stays at Santa Cruz Island, Santa Barbara Island and Catalina. My boat is a Down East 38 that I purchased TOTALLY NEGLECTED in the back waters of Huntington Harbor.  It's too bad Newport Beach can't be as boater friendly as the guys in Santa Barbara?  You tie
up in front of their office, are assigned a guest slip for about a buck a foot a day, they give you a gate key that fits close-by immaculate restrooms with showers.  Marine hardware store, restaurants, fuel dock and even a great museum are all nearby.  If you want to go downtown, for 50 cents a little trolly car will take down the water front to State St. where you can transfer, head up the hill and see the
whole town...  Hint for small sailboats going up the coast. Get early starts in the morning and motor sail to your next anchorage or marina before the westerlies kick up around 1 PM...

CABO YACHT BRAND NEW PROPELLER SHAFTS- AQUAMET 22 & 19 ...

Brand New Cabo Yacht propeller shafts !!! When Cabo moved to the East coast we purchased all the brand new shafts.  Shafts in diameter up to 1.5 inches are AQUAMET  19- Shafts 1.75  and over are AQUAMET 19.  We estimate a propeller shop would charge close to $3000.00 for one of these shafts?
We had them at $1000.00 each and have now reduced the price to $500.00 each!!!  Various lengths and diameters.  We also have a good selection of castle nuts, lock nuts and keys for these shafts.  We would also consider an ALL CA$H offer for the entire lot?  We also have some new rudders, steering shaft bearings and shaft packing glands for CABOS...

Balboa Yacht Club's "Thirsty Thursday" or the Beer Can races as the locals call it.  Every Thursday
evening in the summer time a great fleet of cutting edge sailing yachts race up and down our lovely harbor.  Locals know if they get to the Balboa Yacht club about an hour before the race starts, there's a good chance they can crew (be rail meat) aboard one of these lovely yachts...

INSANE LOW PRICES ON SPINNAKERS !!!

SYMMETRICAL SPINNAKERS NOW 40% OFF OUR EVERY DAY EXTREMELY LOW PRICES.  Times change, skippers are changing to asymmetrical spinnakers and we are finding that sales of standard spinnakers (both luffs the same measurement) are slowing down.  As you know, we cap our sail prices at $1500.00!!!  That means that an excellent spinnaker as pictured on the 78' ketch "Miramar"would now only cost you $900.00!!!  In the 45 year history of our store we have never discounted sails this deep, ESPECIALLY SPINNAKERS. How can we do this and still keep the doors open?  Millionaires and billionaires donate their sails to colleges and non profits and reap huge tax benefits.  The non-profits approve of the way get these sails back aboard other yachts and that we buy sails in large volume and that our checks ALWAYS CA$H!! You will never find a better time to pick up a spinnaker.  Cruisers, standard spinnakers are still a great way to cover long distances.  I set a 2.2 oz. spinnaker at Capetown, South Africa and carried it for 31 days.  No chafe, you can sail deep and not be reaching all over the place.  Don't scrap you spinnaker pole, steal a great spinnaker at an UNHEARD OF PRICE from Minneys and go fly your kite...  Happy Easter- The crew at MINNEYS..
P.S. Over 300 symmetrical spinnakers in stock starting with luffs as small as 15'.  Tip- radial head spinnakers are a CHEAP RE-CUT.  Tri radials are expensive re-cuts and almost not worth the investment...This offer expires on June 1, 2014. SORRY, NO DISCOUNTS ON ASSYO'S...
